The Scared in Me

Salaam guys,

          I gotta tell you guys one of the weirdest things I thought and did. Last night everyone went to sleep and I was awake. This is what happened: I thought I heard the door open and I thought it was my brother, but I didn’t hear him come up or anything. So I went downstairs to see…and NO ONE was there. And at the same time, I felt this cold breeze as if the door had opened or something. After that I went all the way up to the third floor and woke up my sister and asked her is she opened the door, and she said NO. Now…I am scared and thinking about my family and everything!!

          I was quickly trying to think of a plan to put everyone in the same room or at least hide the little ones. After minutes of waiting and no noise down stairs, I finally decided to check myself. And you wanna know my weapon? I took the phone with me. I was gonna call 911 and tell them to save my family. And to scare the guy with my 911 call.

          So now, I am going down the stairs and checking quietly while my heart is pounding crazy style. When I finally got into the dining hall, I opened the lights and checked under the tables. Then I checked in my brother’s room and his closet. And then I checked in the bathroom. After that I checked the kitchen, family room, and living room. And ALHUMDULILLAH, no one was there.

          But, I had to take the ULTIMATE test upon myself. And that is to go in the BASEMENT and check. And I actually did it. I think it’s cause I was so concerned about it and about the well being of my family, that I was brave enough to do it. After being so relieved and checking many places in the house, I made sure all the doors were locked and windows covered. And oh, I left a few lights open too. He he.

          I guess you guys can call me a scaredy cat. I can be like that sometimes. I really gotta stop watching those detective cases!! Please make du’a for my family and me, guys. And that nothing like that ever happens to any of us, our families, all the Muslims, and those whom we love. Aameen.
