Assalaamu Alaikum,
There were two things that happened in Chicago this week, and I really wanna mention it. So let me start off with what happened earlier this week on Monday:
There was a COUGAR in Chicago. Yes, a COUGAR! For those of you who don’t know, a cougar is kinda like a mountain lion. Here’s a link if you wanna read more about it or just look at the pics:

Now the other thing. I am gonna first tell you my story. Today (or Friday, since it’s past midnight), I was laying on my bed waiting for Fajr to start, so I could pray and go to sleep. All the lights were closed and everyone was sleeping. I stayed up cause it got late and I wanted to pray Fajr before I went to sleep. Fajr starts around 4:40-4:45, and around 4:40ish is when a very weird, yet scary thing happened to me…
Like I said earlier, I was laying on my bed, and then all of sudden my bed starts SHAKING. The window/wall also made a little creepy sound. Now, I was so scared. I was too scared to look. All these scary thoughts were going through my head. And I thought that if I looked by my feet to see, then there would be this figure staring at me with a smurk and laughing. Some of you guys know my “scared-ness” at night from IIE or whatever. So maybe you guys can imagine my story here.
Now continuing on, my bed is shaking, and I was confused, yet scared. At one point, I was thinking it was probably all in my head, so I put my laptop on my stomach to see if it would shake as well….and well…it WAS. I also started thinking that my body is probably shaking because I’m really tired or something. Finally, I got up and told myself to just pray and hit the sack. But I had to make sure no one was there, so I opened my light and no one was there.
I prayed and stuff. After that I didn’t think about it. But later on, one of my relatives (not in my house) mentioned something about shaking in the early morning. She was scared too when she felt it! He he. But anyway, some of you may have heard, but there was an earthquake happening that time. I know, an EARTHQUAKE. I probably would have never thought that. Actually, I wouldn’t think of it at all! But it is very random and weird that an earthquake happened in Chicago. If you guys wanna read more about it, here’s a link:

These two events were pretty interesting, but scary as well. We should try to be careful, cause there might be another cougar around. That’s what some people think. It’s pretty sad that they shot it, but at the same time, you wouldn’t wanna come face to face with a cougar, right?! And maybe we should be more careful about the earthquakes. This could be a sign…? =/
I might have another post up later…like the “ordinary” events of my life. But for now, I’m gonna take my snooze. Take care guys and sleep well. Try not to be like me!
