Beautiful Day

Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuhu,

I woke up really late today. Very late. I was just really tired. It was one of those days. I also had a fantastic day too. I thought it would be chilly outside, but when I stepped out, I was so relaxed. Since my family was already outside walking and stuff, I got ready too. Remember I told you guys I wanted to skateboard really badly…? I put on my shoes and was looking for the skateboard, but I couldn’t find it! Odd thing is I saw it recently laying there. Therefore, I took out my roller blades. That was fun. I picked up Hafsa and was roller blading with her…she was pretty scared. I don’t know if she was scared that I’ll drop her or that she was sliding in the air! Overall, it was a good excersise and the weather was great, MashaAllah.

After that, we went to Potbelly’s. Mmmm…that stuff is good, especially the veggie sandwich. I think I’m the only one in my family whole likes it. It’s so good. We came home, and a little bit later, Nihad came. You guys, Nadia Inayah got so big, MashaAllah. She’s smiling, giggling, looking, holding, etc. MashaAllah, MashaAllah. I wanna put up a pic of her, but I don’t think that’s a good idea. And I’d have to ask her parents of course. Sorry guys.

We all chilled and had fun. We played Super Smash Bros. Brawl on Wii. I’m not good at it. It’s hard getting use to the controls. Nayyer and bhabi played boxing after that, and bhabi was losing. So I took her place and I knocked Nayyer down! But I still lost. Now that was fun. I was about to start sweating. Ha ha. And guys, we didn’t actually box, we played it on Wii. But we sorta did box…some of you guys know what I mean. ;-)

I took out some old pics and we were looking at it. We don’t have a lot of pics because most of them were in our Oak Park house, which got burned. So we looked at the few we had, and of course, we were making fun of each other. After that, we were teaching our sister in law some words, and we were just cracking up so badly. It was hilarious. Then, we started saying some desi jokes. Like, what did one pizza say to the other pizza?…”Pizza Hut.” Or, what did one cow say to the other cow?…”what’s up dude?.” And my sister in law got this one cause she knows what “dude” means, ha ha, which made us laugh even more. Desi jokes are so corny. lol.

Overall, it was a great day, Alhumdulillah. It really brought back old old memories from when we were little kids. Playing outside, playing video games, making fun of each other, talking, etc. And today felt like it. Well…sorta. But it felt good, even if was not completely the same.

Tomorrow we have a party at my mamu’s for his second kid. He took us to IIE sometimes, and picked us up. Some of you guys know of him…;-). So I’ll catch you guys later. Have an awesome day!

Please keep my family and me in your du’as. That’d be great.

Was Salaam,

Zoya
