Assalaamu Alaikum,
Wow! I haven’t updated in a while. Well, it’s cause I’ve been busy. I was fortunate to be out of the house. Yay! One of the best events that happened this week was that I got to see my oh so awesome friends. It was great seeing them after so many months. The last time I saw most of them was last July. You can’t understand how happy and grateful I was to hang out with them. I hope I get to see them again soon instead of waiting until summer, InshaAllah InshaAllah. I am even more grateful that they tried all the means they could to get me to come there.
See…when I was trying to figure out how to get down to the suburbs, it was sorta hard. Not only did I have to think of a way to get there, but I had to think of a way to get back. And my attempts to work out the plans were harder than I thought. I don’t like people going “out of the way” for me. Trust me, when you have that done most of your life, you just don’t wanna do it anymore. It’s not because I don’t appreciate what they do, but it’s the fact that I don’t want people to go out of their way for me. So anyway, as soon as I told my friends that I wasn’t going to be coming because of ride issues, it was crazy. They just would not let me stay home. They were figuring out the easiest ways for me to come. Now you can see why I am so grateful to have such friends. I ended up staying a night at three different friends’ houses, which was also fun. Thanks guys…;-). I gotta admit, I was pretty sad when I was saying salaam to them because I knew I won’t see them for a long time…
Now back to the family. The kids, sister in law, and sis are on spring break this week. So yesterday, we went to Woodfield mall for most of the day. Overall, it was an awesome day. Kids were tired out and I had fun. My bhabi’s brother and sister came with us too. I was with my bhabi, which was good because I was sane. What if I was to be with my sis and bhabi’s sis?? We’re talking about two 15 year olds….aaaaaaaahh! I would have most likely became insane. I mean I had to sit between them in the car, and I was screaming at them half the time! Ha ha.
Oh yeah, Sahar got her ears pierced!! She got it done before, but she got so scared by us that they ended up closing. And this time she did not even cry, Alhumdulillah. We were all so proud of her because she was a very brave girl holding back her tears, MashaAllah. What was really funny was that Hamza was upset for a little bit because he wanted to get his ears pierced too. lol. I mean, I don’t blame him because he’s the only boy out of the four kids. It’s just a stage, he’ll be out of it soon.
All in all, everything is going great! The family is doing great, the friends are doing great, therefore, I am doing great. Aight, I’m done for now. Going to sleep. Please make du’a for me guys…that I get my license sooooon. =)
Peace,
Zoya
