Can you hear my EchO…?

Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuhu,

          I am writing this post tonight because I want it to be on Feb. 29th. Yeah, I delayed writing a post, just so this date could show up. I’m not gonna wait another four years to write on a Feb. 29th. This blog will probably be dead by then.

          Anyways, nothing amazing is going on. It’s the same old, same old. I got a web cam about two weeks ago. I don’t think I mentioned it on here. Why did I get one? I don’t know. I just wanted to sorta personalize my laptop. And my sister-in-laws might go out of the country in the summer, InshaAllah. So I’m sure it will come in handy then. Oh yeah, don’t forget to search me on YouTube! Nah, I’m just kiddin’.

          This past Saturday, I was hanging out with my oldest brother, bhabi, and Hafsa. I actually went with them because they were going to drop me off at the IIE fundraising dinner, but plans changed and I ended up spending the day with them. It was fun, Alhumdulillah. And that day, my dad actually cooked something too. You wanna know what he cooked? He tried to make this Middle Eastern lamb leg dish. And uhh, I didn’t eat it. I don’t know if you guys will remember this, but one time someone brought that to IIE. And well, I couldn’t eat it. I don’t know if it was the smell, the leg, the taste. I’m not that picky of an eater, but I remember getting this nauseous feeling then. I guess I’ll try it again later on in my life. Maybe I’ll start liking it then…?

          Today was a busy day. I had to walk the kids home from school in the oh so cold weather, and I wore my hoodie. But hey, I’m not sick…yet! After we came home, I had to make talawa gosht. Yeah, I cooked. I had to cut the gosht into small peices. But the catch is…the catch is…that my mom had the masalah ready! I just had to put it in. Ha ha. From previous mistakes I made in my life, this is the condition of my desi cooking. It actually came out pretty good. My sister was scared for nothing.

          Since I mentioned the weather earlier, I might as well say something. I really want it to get warmer. I feel like skateboarding. And you can’t skateboard in snow. Also, I don’t have a heater in my room. Also, its too cold outside for me. There are many reasons why I want Spring. Many. Therefore, I shall stop now.
