New Poem
This poem is for all those people who know exactly what I’m talking about. Nothing to do with my immediate family, rather it has to do with relatives. Meaning, adults argue, and the kids are the ones effected.
Separation of Families
As I grew up, I use to see
Breaking relations between family
I honestly didn’t know what to perceive
Should I stay or should I leave?
All I know was I was sad
A we have became a we had
I understood it was between every blood parent
But we were the ones who really despaired it
In the end I felt like it always affected us
The love we had started to rust
And eventually there became hatred
Lost of friendships that were once created
Sometimes I wonder why they fight
Just for status, pride, and might?
I know us kids never wanna hate
And we know what they do is not that great
But do they understand that what they’re doing
Is showing us that their hatred is growing
And in reality, they are showing us
That there’s no such thing as love and trust
I know we were taught the opposite of this
But then they use their tongues as fists
They make it seem like family’s not important
But when we’re born, on whom are we dependant?
*”Us” in the poem is referred as the kids’/cousins.

One Day Left
Salaam guys,
Not really writing a post, just wanna say Hafsa is coming back tomorrow from Paki. And Summer is nearly at its end…
Updates coming soon,
Zoya
WOW!
Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuhu,
I was quite amazed that I hadn’t updated in a long long time. I kept procrastinating until now. I guess I’ll give a recap of what has happened in the past month. I finished my summer class way back then. Alhumdulillah, I really liked that class. I’m starting to actually like biology now. I learned so much, and it makes sense to me…unlike ENGLISH! I am gonna take English this fall…uh…oh.
After that, my summer has been busy. But its been much busier these past two weeks. So I’m gonna jump over to the last two weeks. Let’s see…okay, so I went to Farzana Baji’s house again, and that was lots of fun. I had a lot of fun playing with the kids. It definitely feels nice being out of the house every once and a while.
I went to Six Flags last Wednesday with my mom’s side family. That was fun…kinda. Well, at least in the beginning it was. I think every desi kid knows what I’m talking about. There were so many little kids, and my uncles and aunts were there too. That’s all I gotta say for you guys to get what I’m sayin’. But on the bright side, I went on a few roller coasters, which was awesome. On one roller coaster, I was on the brink of losing my glasses! Anyway, I would say my overall experience at Six Flags last week was a 3.8/5.0. Atleast I got to go, right?
And then the wedding! Wedding was great, mashaAllah. I’m happy for her, as long as she’s happy for herself…! Nah, I’m just kidding. I know she’s really happy, mashaAllah. Congratulations Afshan! Doubt you’ll read this though.
Today’s July 27th. My brother would have turned 21 years old today. But on the brighter side, Sabrina has been MARRIED for a YEAR now, MashaAllah! I know when she reads this, she’ll be smilin’!
InshaAllah, I will update again soon. As for now, I think this is good enough.
Take care guys. Enjoy life. Have fun.
Until next time,
Zoya
